Gerry Gebel Will Explain How Identity Query Language (IDQL) Standard and Open Source Hexa Software Unifies Policy Orchestration Across Cloud and On-Premises Infrastructures

BOULDER, Colo., April 17, 2023 — Strata Identity, the Identity Orchestration company, today announced Gerry Gebel, its Head of Standards, has been selected to present a session at the 2023 RSA Conference on how to operationalize access policies for multi-clouds.

WHO: Gerry Gebel is Head of Standards for Strata Identity. He has over 20 years of experience in requirements definition, architecture development, and strategic planning for identity management projects with Fortune 500 corporations. Gerry has been a senior executive with Axiomatics, a global provider of access control solutions, and served as Vice President and Service Director with research firm Burton Group for nearly a decade. He started his career in the technology group at Chase Manhattan Bank (now part of JPMorgan Chase).

WHAT: Multi-cloud architectures break traditional access control mechanisms and create fragmented policies that introduce security and risk gaps, making it difficult to determine “who has access to what.” These challenges are compounded by the fact that each cloud identity system, as well as on-premises identity products, use proprietary policy languages that are incompatible with each other. This session will discuss a new identity standard called Identity Query Language (IDQL) along with its partner, the open-source policy orchestration software called Hexa (a CNCF Sandbox project) that make it possible to control access by distributing and normalizing policies across multi-clouds. The session will cover:
